ReadyStore vs Shopify for selling on cash on delivery
Shopify is a very complete general-purpose platform; ReadyStore specializes in COD. This page compares the two approaches on verifiable facts, with no invented figures.
Shopify can sell with cash on delivery (a manual payment method or an app) and send events through the Conversions API using its Facebook & Instagram channel; bundles, upsells and multiple Pixels rely in practice on the theme or apps. ReadyStore builds these functions into one platform dedicated to COD, but offers neither online card payment nor an app marketplace.
Point-by-point comparison
Shopify column: information from its public help pages, checked on 12 October 2026. It evolves: verify on shopify.com.
| Criterion | ReadyStore | Shopify (theme and apps of your choice) |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | Platform specialized in cash on delivery | General-purpose commerce platform (online payment, in-person selling, wide ecosystem) |
| Cash on delivery | Built-in COD order form, no online payment | Possible through a manual payment method (Settings > Payments) or a COD app |
| Meta Pixel and Conversions API | Built in: same event_id in browser and server, one Pixel per product, attribution preserved | Through the Facebook & Instagram channel (Standard, Enhanced or Maximum data sharing); several Pixels most often via apps |
| Bundles, upsells, reviews, urgency | Built in, configured product by product | Depends on the theme and installed apps |
| Abandoned orders | Details kept as soon as the COD form is filled; Meta behavior chosen per Pixel | Depends on payment setup and apps |
| Multiple stores and languages | Native multi-store; storefronts in French, English and RTL Arabic | Several stores and languages possible depending on plan and apps |
| Online card payment | Not offered | Yes, through online payment solutions available by country |
| Extensibility | Targeted integrations (Google Sheets, Gibship); no app marketplace | Very large app and theme store |
| Pricing | Not detailed on this site | Plans and apps billed separately: see shopify.com |
The “depends on theme and apps” cells are deliberate: what a Shopify store actually does depends on what is installed.
Integrated or assembled
An assembled store accumulates apps: each adds a setting, a script and a subscription, and marketing events may be emitted by several sources. It’s very flexible, provided you monitor the whole.
ReadyStore takes the opposite approach: a platform where the COD form, offers, abandonments and Meta tracking were designed together. Less flexibility outside that scope, but fewer pieces to coordinate.
- One dashboard for COD orders
- Meta events emitted from a single source
- Less dependence on third-party extensions
When one or the other fits better
ReadyStore fits if…
You mostly sell on cash on delivery, advertise on Meta, want bundles, upsells and Meta tracking without stacking apps, and serve customers in Arabic, French or English.
Shopify fits if…
You need online card payment, in-person selling, a very wide choice of apps and themes, or integrations ReadyStore doesn’t offer.
Why no speed or loss figures are compared here
PageSpeed scores or “clicks vs page views” gaps vary enormously with the page tested, images, scripts, device, network and period. A figure without a protocol is an opinion. We will publish a numeric comparison only when it meets these rules:
- same page type (a real product page), tool and version stated, mobile profile and simulated network specified
- at least five runs, median and spread published, date and URLs of the pages tested
- for tracking: the exact definition of the rate (outbound clicks versus landing page views), same campaigns, same periods and data source
- reproducibility: anyone should be able to redo the measurement
Comparison questions
Can Shopify sell with cash on delivery?
Yes: cash on delivery can be enabled as a manual payment method in payment settings, or through an app. The difference with ReadyStore lies in integration and specialization, not in an impossibility.
Does Shopify support Meta’s Conversions API?
Yes, through the Facebook & Instagram channel, with data-sharing levels including Enhanced and Maximum that add the Conversions API. Several Pixels are generally handled by dedicated apps.
Is ReadyStore faster than Shopify?
We don’t claim it without a reproducible measurement. ReadyStore is optimized for mobile loading of the product page; compare your two pages with the same tool and protocol.
Can I migrate from Shopify?
No migration tool is announced on this site. Contact the team to discuss your case.
