Abandoned orders: keep the contact, choose the Meta signal
When a visitor enters their details without finishing, ReadyStore keeps them so your team can call back, and you decide what Meta receives, Pixel by Pixel.
An abandoned order is saved as soon as the visitor has entered their useful details without submitting the order. It shows up in the dashboard to be called back or converted. For each Pixel, the merchant chooses the Meta event tied to abandonments: none, Lead, or a Purchase delayed by 15 minutes depending on the Pixel’s setup.
A prospect kept, called back, then converted
As soon as the customer has entered their phone and delivery details, their abandonment is saved and updated as they type, without duplicates for the same product. Your team sees the product, the time and the number to call.
If the customer completes the order afterwards, the abandonment isn’t treated as a loss: the order takes over and no duplicate event is created. You can also convert an abandonment into an order after a confirmation call.
- Details kept without a final order
- Updated as they type, no duplicates
- Convert to an order from the dashboard
The Meta behavior, chosen per Pixel
Each Pixel has its own setting. ReadyStore never changes it for you.
| Setting | What Meta receives | When |
|---|---|---|
| None | No event for the abandonment | — |
| Lead | A Lead event for the abandonment | After the abandonment is saved |
| Delayed Purchase | A Purchase event for the abandonment | 15 to 30 minutes after creation, if no order was placed meanwhile |
Available options depend on the Pixel’s conversion mode (Purchase or Lead): the dashboard form only shows allowed combinations.
Rules to prevent duplicates
An order wins
If an order for the same product exists for the same attempt, the abandonment emits nothing more and a pending delayed send is cancelled.
One event per abandonment
Each abandonment carries a stable event identifier: send retries don’t create duplicates at Meta.
Explicit delay
A delayed Purchase waits at least 15 minutes, then goes out on the scheduler’s next pass (allow 15 to 30 minutes).
Abandoned order questions
When is an order considered abandoned?
When the visitor has entered their useful details in the form without submitting the order. The abandonment is updated while they keep filling the form.
Which Meta event is sent by default?
It’s a per-Pixel setting in the dashboard (Pixels section). Check it when you create your Pixel and before each campaign.
Does a customer who orders afterwards generate two conversions?
ReadyStore applies precedence rules between abandonment and order to avoid duplicates; the detail depends on the Pixel’s conversion mode. Check the result in Events Manager.
Can I call prospects back?
Yes: the list shows the product, the time and the number entered. Calling back and confirming remain your team’s actions.
